Overview

Marni Selman, JD is the Director of MHA & Executive Programs and an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Health Policy & Management. In this role, she manages the strategic planning and curricula for three degree-programs (full-time MHA, part-time MHA, and executive MHA/MPH) and teaches a course on Governance, Health Law & Ethics. Prior to that, she worked as a capital markets attorney at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP and at Shearman & Sterling LLP where she drafted and negotiated acquisition and pre-acquisition agreements, disclosure memoranda, purchase and underwriting agreements and indentures for a broad range of transactions. Additionally, she advised domestic and international companies on ongoing compliance and corporate governance matters, including issues related to board independence, material company transactions, and re-organizations. Marni is a board member of the Tanenbaum Foundation, a non-sectarian nonprofit that promotes mutual respect with practical programs that bridge religious difference and combat prejudice in schools, workplaces, health care settings and areas of armed conflict. She received her Bachelor of Arts (highest honors) from McGill University and her Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Fordham University School of Law.
