Applied Practice Experience Funding

Some agencies offer paid APEx opportunities. For Columbia Mailman students, a paid practicum is acceptable but not required. Columbia Mailman students have access to additional funding opportunities beyond the featured APEx scholarships and fellowships.

The APEx Stipend

The Office of Field Practice administers a small stipends program. The program provides students who complete their initial requirements (e.g. submission of Scope of Work by specific date, departmental approvals) on time with a small sum to partially support their expenses during the Applied Practice Experience (APEx). Students are responsible for covering the full cost of their APEx and personal expenses.
