Gina Wingood, ScH, MPH
Gina Wingood, ScH, MPH has dedicated her life to developing gender- and culturally-appropriate HIV prevention interventions for African American women. She has received international acclaim for her research on social determinants of health, and was previously featured in Science as a highly-funded African American NIH grant recipient. Dr. Wingood's Sisters Informing Sisters about Topics in AIDS (SISTA) intervention, as well as five other HIV prevention interventions, have been endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and implemented widely across the country.

Carly Hutchinson, PhD, MA
Carole "Carly" Hutchinson, PhD, MA, has research spanning the fields of anthropology, environmental studies, food studies, public health, education, and public policy; she considers social movements, peer-to-peer learning and grassroots civic engagement a primary means of creating social change. Her research has focused on the needs of marginalized populations in North America. Some of her projects have examined the health concerns of New Yorkers living in Harlem, the experiences of Muslims post 9/11, the experiences of incarcerated populations, and regional food systems.
