Faculty Steering Committee
The Steering Committee of the School Assembly (more generally known as the Faculty Steering Committee) acts on behalf of the Faculty and provides direction for the advancement of the overall goals of the Mailman School of Public Health by:
- Identifying issues of major importance to the school and its faculty;
- Facilitating effective participation by the faculty in the mission of the school;
- Identifying and representing faculty concerns;
- Distributing information to enable wide discussion of identified issues and concerns;
- Facilitating vision and strategy setting;
- Reviewing execution of the committee’s strategy and results;
- Providing key recommendations to guide the school’s administration in short- and long-term initiatives;
- Making policy recommendations to the School’s leadership team;
- Aligning faculty and student educational goals.
The Faculty Steering Committee meets on a monthly basis. Current membership includes:
