Mission

The Child Health Center for Learning and Development is a university-based interdisciplinary public health research, training and service entity dedicated to promoting health, wellness and opportunity for school-age children and youth.  Academic partners in the fields of Public Health, Pediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry come together to effect positive change in the lives of the children, youth, families, and communities.  We aim to address long-standing gaps in health/mental health, educational achievement and workforce development in this population by bringing research, training and practice out of the laboratory and into community-based organizations and New York City schools.
