Government

The PAHS is a collaboration between Columbia University and city and state health departments across the country. The 2020 PAHS was conducted in 7 jurisdictions: Kansas, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and New York City. The 2024 PAHS is currently underway and will be conducted in 8 jurisdictions: District of Columbia, Hawaii, Kansas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and New York City.

Survey Implementation

 For most study sites, the PAHS is implemented by the Rutgers Bloustein Center for Survey Research (BCSR). BCSR provides high quality, non-partisan, objective research services to government, academia, the private sector and non-profit organizations. The BSCR Maternal and Child Health Unit has more than a decade of experience conducting surveys of mothers and children including the CDC Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS).
