Molecular Mechanisms
Working Group 2
Molecular Mechanisms and New Approaches to Environmental Health Sciences
Mount Sinai-Columbia University Inter-center Working Group
Leaders: Drs. Bob Wright at Mount Sinai and Matt Perzanowski at Columbia
When and Where: Zoom conference call once a month on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 2-3pm
Through our inter-center working group, researchers at Mount Sinai and Columbia have been invited to participate in monthly Zoom conference calls where invited speakers from both Centers give a 20-30 minute talk about new molecular and analytical approaches to investigating biological mechanisms through which environmental exposures lead to disease, followed by a discussion. While largely centered on wet lab research, the working group also hosts presentations on novel exposure assessment and computational approaches for environmental health sciences. The overarching goal of the working group is to facilitate collaborations between and within the two centers by exposing members to the newest approaches that labs have developed and use in their science.
