Boot Camp Curriculum

CSRI 2025 (In-person)

Program Dates: July 7 - August 8

The CSRI 2025 program will run in-person on weekdays between July 7 through August 8 with classes, labs, seminars, and other program events scheduled between the hours of 8am - 6pm. Additional time will be required outside of scheduled CSRI events for completing projects and other assignments.

CSRI Boot Camp follows a format of intensive instruction in biostatistics and epidemiology intermixed with additional, more specialized coursework. By building on core material from the courses, students will complete an outline for a research proposal following NIH guidelines for either an R01 or K award by the end of the program.

The five CSRI boot camp classes are:

  • P6104 Introduction to Biostatistical Methods
  • P6400 Principles of Epidemiology
  • P8182 Writing a Successful NIH Grant
  • P8221 Decision Analysis and Cost Effectiveness for Healthcare
  • P8910 Introduction to Race and Health

Program expectations: Given that CSRI is an academic program, participants are required to attend all classes, participate in all program events, and complete all assignments in an acceptable and timely manner.
